Kenmore Dryer Preventive Maintenance

One of the biggest culprits with dryers is the lint that is produced from drying your clothes. That lint can get trapped, which can cause the dryer to overheat as well as creating a fire hazard.

To prevent this from happening, make sure that you clean lint from the lint screen and vent tube that runs from the dryer to the outside on a regular basis. Also check the dryer’s power cord to make sure it isn’t damaged.

Clean the outside of the dryer, and the inside of the drum, with a soapy washcloth. Then wipe down the surfaces with plain water to rinse any soap left behind.
